Subject: Update on the BC Forest Service Centenary

Greetings.  As we get closer to 2012 and the Forest Service centennial, I wanted to encourage you to submit any planned local centenary events to Jacquie Louie at Jacquie.Louie@gov.bc.ca.  Jacquie will enter your event into the BC Forest Service Centenary Society website Calendar of Events   http://www.bcfs100.ca .  A provincial centenary event is being planned for February 27 at the Legislature Buildings in Victoria.    I have been allocated some funding by our Deputy Minister to help support centenary events that involve more than just the local ministry office – please contact me to discuss any “seed money” requirements for your event.  I also have limited pens, pencils and other FS items that may be useful at your event.  Thanks again for taking on a leadership role in the Forest Service Centenary celebration.  Jim
